The Bosideng Puff series becomes a dynamic visual signature during Paris Fashion Week, capturing global attention.

On October 7, 2025, during Paris Fashion Week, Chinese down apparel brand Bosideng presented its new “Master Puff” collection at the neoclassical landmark Palais Brongniart, the historic former Paris Bourse. Defined by lightness, freedom, and exceptional comfort, the presentation explored new possibilities for the future of down apparel while offering a compelling glimpse into the cutting-edge evolution of Chinese design. The event attracted extensive attention from international media, fashion professionals, and prominent cultural figures.

Palais Brongniart

At 14:18 Paris time, the Bosideng “Master Puff” runway show officially commenced beneath the layered geometric dome of the Palais Brongniart. Its pine-cone-like architectural structure provided an evocative backdrop for a presentation that seamlessly fused modern design with classical aesthetics.

World diving champion Guo Jingjing appeared wearing a vest from the  “Master Puff” series, whose asymmetrical silhouette conveyed an elegant sense of motion and lightness. Actress Dong Jie selected a high-waisted cropped design whose satin-gloss surface echoed the refined architectural lines of the venue. Actresses Wu Qianyu and Lan Xiya were also present, witnessing this distinctive moment of cross-cultural dialogue between Eastern design sensibilities and Western fashion heritage. The event welcomed an impressive gathering of distinguished guests, including Emmanuelle Pérès, Managing Director of the LaFalaise Foundation; Pierre François Le-Louët, President and CEO of NellyRodi and former President of the Fédération Française du Prêt-à-Porter Féminin; and Boris Provost, CEO of TRANOÏ, alongside senior executives from leading luxury houses and international fashion institutions. International fashion publications such as ELLE and L’OFFICIEL documented the presentation throughout, highlighting the collection’s forward-looking vision centered on the themes of lightness and comfort in down apparel.

The show was conceived under the theme “La Coupe en O (Orbiting Cloud Trails)”, with Bosideng Creative Director Pietro Ferragina reinterpreting the down jacket as a sculptural, three-dimensional work of art. The “Master Puff” series draws inspiration from architectural aesthetics, shaping silhouettes that balance structural precision with fluid, lightweight curves. From afar, the meticulously layered stitching resembles the structural gridlines of modern architecture; up close, it reveals the subtle sophistication of a “zero-constraint” design philosophy. Airy, voluminous fabrics overturn the traditional perception of bulky parka-style down jackets. As the models moved, the garments’ sweeping hems traced graceful arcs, mirroring the character of Paris itself, a city at once dignified and youthful.

When technical expertise in down apparel encounters the language of architecture, Bosideng’s “Master Puff” collection achieves a transformation: from functional garment to symbolic design expression. This innovation extends beyond thermal performance. It represents a deeper interpretation of lightness as a design philosophy. Rather than treating down jackets as protective winter armor, the collection evokes the sensation of being wrapped in clouds, transforming the physical weight of clothing into a feeling of spiritual freedom for the wearer. In the urban landscapes of contemporary China, those wearing the “Puff” series appear light-footed and luminous, moving with effortless grace. The flowing arcs of the garments seem to declare, silently yet confidently, a defiance of gravity. The collection expresses not only a lifestyle of effortless chic but also a distinctly contemporary Eastern insight: “The world may be heavy, yet the heart remains light.”

With the debut of the “Master Puff” series at Paris Fashion Week, the innovative vitality of Chinese down apparel once again captured global attention. Through its distinctive philosophy of lightness, the collection transcends traditional category boundaries and introduces an Eastern design perspective into the international dialogue on winter fashion. In doing so, Chinese brands are no longer merely participants in the global fashion conversation—they are becoming contributors of new ideas, aesthetics, and philosophies. Drawing on nearly half a century of technological innovation and craftsmanship, Bosideng has evolved from a pioneer of functional down apparel into a global voice in contemporary fashion, championing comfort, freedom, and modern design for a new generation.
