On May 27, the Mount Everest Survey Team successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest, marking the completion of the 2020 Mount Everest survey expedition and the first success in such a survey mission by Chinese surveyors. It has redefined the height of Mount Everest, and set another milestone in China's mountaineering history.
Li Guopeng, leader of the first geodetic survey team of the Ministry of Natural Resources, said that every Mount Everest survey expedition is an occassion to demonstrate China's comprehensive strength and world-class surveying and mapping technologies. The harsh conditions of Mount Everest pose great challenges not only to the will of the climbers, but also to surveying and mapping equipment, mountaineering equipment and other professional equipment. In this height determination mission, Bosideng, who has protected China’s mountaineering community for 22 years, once again provided professional mountaineering clothing that protect the climbers from the cold, keep them warm, and meet their other functional needs during the climb. “A Generation” inspired by the mountaineering spirit
2020 marks the 60th anniversary of the first time that Chinese people climbed to the top of Mount Everest. Looking back, every honor acquired by China's mountaineering community is a reward to the difficulties and obstacles overcome by generations of Chinese mountaineers. The mountaineering spirit of "Dare to scale new heights, and never yield" shown by them is the best reflection of the spirit of the times.
Nohting is more impressive than the first time that the Chinese National Mountaineering Team scaled to the top of Mount Everest in the 1950s. At that time, while the British and Swiss mountaineering teams had successfully reached the top of Mount Everest from the South Ridge located in Nepal, no one had ever made it to the top from the North Ridge located in China. Some countries used this as an excuse to question China: "You have never been to the top. How can you claim it to be yours?" However, faced with the problem of a short supply of specialized mountaineering equipment, the Chinese National Mountaineering Team had to buy equipment from abroad, which were only accessible to main team members, and not enough to meet the needs of the whole team. In response to the questioning, the Chinese National Mountaineering Team was resolved to keep climbing. With the national mission on mind, motivated by strong conviction, they scaled to the summit for China, breaking the myth that Mount Everest could not be conquered from the North Ridge.
The mountaineering spirit of "Dare to scale new heights, and never yield" has inspired generations of Chinese. It has also inspired Bosideng to be its proponent. When the Chinese National Mountaineering Team successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest on May 24, 1998 with the help of Bosideng, they placed the team flag saying "China Bosideng Mountaineering Team" and a metal plate bearing the inscription "Bosideng is NO.1 in China, and challenges to be a world famous brand" on the world's highest peak with an altitude of 8,844.43 meters above sea level.
